Come Celebrate Tom Petty!

Come Celebrate Tom Petty!

Tomorrow night, I’m excited to get together with about ten other local musicians – many of whom are close friends – to celebrate the life of Tom Petty through playing his songs.   The music starts around 7:00 p.m. at The Rambling House in Clintonville.

I’m excited to see that smaller groups are playing a few songs each. This means there will be many fresh renditions of his songs – and I know [beforehand that] the hits, as well as some deep cuts will be shared.

I’m joining forces with Geoff Wilcox to present three of our favorites. We’ve played music together for about seven years now and currently play together in The Happening. It was a fresh challenge to arrange these songs in a way that suits our tastes. We decided to share vocal duties. Wilcox gets to play bass again after having played it for so many years in The Jeffs and I’m happy to have this outlet to play more electric guitar. Thankfully percussionist, and friend, Rob Mottice will be jumping in with us to add some solid rhythm to our set.

If you have a chance tomorrow evening, come out, even if for just a little while. You pay what you want, and all the proceeds go to local independent radio station WCBE.
